Our Operations and Interests

We currently own three different business units, but it's likely this list will continue to grow over time as we find more avenues of interest. These are small enterprises all quite seperate and unrelated to each other. Pedeco Ltd. serves as the encapsulating management company for all of our different business interests.

	2DFX This is our website design and hosting company. Since 1998 it has been designing and providing simple and straighforward websites for SMEs as well as various charity organisations. More details about our charity work can be seen below. With an emphasis on simplistic functionalty rather than overly-styled design, this unit specialises in e-commerce and delivery of business functions using the web as the primary interface. We have created a variety of sites across many different fields of interest, please see our 2DFX portfolio page for more details. Running on dedicated servers, 2DFX is the hub of our online presence and handles the technicalities of delivering the rest of our units over the web.
	Comical Games Towards the end of 2005, we identified a small market niche for an old Sonic The Hedgehog comic that ran between 1993 and 2002. 'Sonic The Comic' is a much sought-after but hard-to-find legacy of Sega's heyday of the 1990s when Sonic was at his most popular. With the revival and continued interest in Sonic brand on new video game platforms, this old UK comic remains much-loved, and Comical Games has sought to become the definitive place on the internet to buy out-of-print back-issues. Currently fans are reduced to searching eBay where the comics are found very rarely, and often sell for disproportionately high prices or without a good indication of their condition. This unit seeks to create consistency in this small market by having a fixed-price per comic depending on its condition with efforts to keep price-inflation down to a minimum. The site is an extensive e-commerce effort integrated seemlessly with Paypal and has performed well since its launch in early 2006.
	Pimp That Snack This came about entirely by chance in April 2006 and wasn't intended to function as a typical 'business'. The site deals in the parodial enlargements of popular snackfoods. Each effort is listed on the site as a faux-recipe with pictures and instructions on how to make your own. It has received a substantial buzz of media-interest and has been featured on on a variety of radio, magazine and television. Most notably on BBC Radio 1 (on the Annie Mac and Jo Whiley shows), BBC 2 (on 'Ready Steady Cook' and 'Click') and Channel 4 (on Gordon Ramsey's 'The F Word', and T4's 'Homemade' show). There's little in the way of commercialisation - this unit offers t-shirts for sale and is supported by Google adverts which do little more than cover running costs of this very popular site. However, we're proud to have it in our list and hope that it continues to go from strength to strength in the coming year.
